Question #13
What is the only time Godzilla has died (the Japanese one not that American wannabe? Explain the circumstances surrounding his death and how he seemed to reappear.

ReplyDeleteA navy ship takes Ogata and Serizawa to plant the device in Tokyo Bay. Serizawa requests that he be put in a diving suit to make sure the device is used correctly. Ogata at first refuses, but soon gives in. Ogata and Serizawa then descend into the water, and find Godzilla resting. Seemingly unaware of the divers, the monster slowly walks around the ocean floor. Ogata then is pulled back to the surface while Serizawa activates the Oxygen Destoyer. As Serizawa watches Godzilla dying from the destructive weapon, he cuts his cord and dies with Godzilla, sacrificing himself so that his knowledge of the horrible weapon dies with him. A dying Godzilla surfaces, lets out a final roar, and sinks to the bottom, disintegrating.30 years after the original Godzilla was killed. A fishing vessel, caught in a terrible storm, encounters a new Godzilla. The SDF launches their newest weapon the Super X to combat Godzilla. During the initial confrontation, Godzilla has an allergic reaction to the cadmium shells and is poisoned. Godzilla then begins to die from the reaction. Meanwhile, the Japanese government finds out about the Soviet nuclear missile and asks the Americans to shoot it down. The Americans agree and are successful but the missile collision in the stratosphere causes a massive EMP, and then a radioactive lighting storm that revives Godzilla.
ReplyDeleteYet you completely forgot to mention the Futurians and their plot to destroy Japan using King Ghidora which was created in place of Godzilla by the original testing. When their plot was discovered, the Japanese wanted Godzilla back to serve as their protector;however using the modern nuke caused the Godzillasaurus to mutate into a bigger all-around more badass Godzilla than the original that managed to defeat King Ghedorah and Mecha King Ghidorah, but also proved to be more of a handful than the original. Regardless, your answer is good enough to get you credit.
